Look for the soap opera veteran to appear on multiple episodes of the Showtime hit as yoga teacher in the same class as Natascha McElhone's Karen.

It's safe to assume the two will share more than just a passion for this type of workout and that Hank will take issue with Howarth's character.

The actor joins a Season 7 guest star list that also includes Mercedes Masöhn, Heather Graham and Michael Imperioli.

Californication Review: Decadence Incarnate

$

On Californication this week, Atticus took a break from doing cocaine off his mirror this week to actually look at himself in it.

Just when Hank had found his creative mojo again and Charlie was on the path to career reincarnation, their meal ticket decided to hang up his leather pants and work on his sobriety on "The Abby."

Unable to bring down the walls of Castle Abstinence on their first attempt, Hank and Faith needed some bigger guns - and few can pop off more colorfully than Richard Bates. I think I would have gone to class a lot more consistently in college if he had been one of my professors.

His message to live first, write later, was very apropos given Becca's choice to go abroad. His passion for teaching was evident, but all Hank had to do was dangle the adventure of smuggling drugs into rehab in front of his nose and he was out the door like Indiana Jones.

Searching for Atticus

With Atticus back up to "speed," Hank's professional life was back afloat, but with the departure of Becca, things with Karen are headed into the unknown. Has Becca been the glue that has held them together all these years? Becca was a divisive force between them as as much as she served to unify them with her sharp insights into their romantic dysfunction.

I loved when she dispelled any hope Hank may have been holding onto of a a fairytale ending for him and her mom. Becca has never sugarcoated her feelings about either caregiver, which is why her comment about them both being equally messed up and incredible was so touching yet poignant.

Becca's advice to Hank was to not stand still, but to keep moving. Becca most often was the one thing that kept Hank grounded. With her gone and Karen pretty aloof, I could see him going on a pilgrimage of his own. I hope he decides to bring Faith along. He of all people needs to get out of L.A. for some time.

So, no, I don't see us celebrating a reunion of Hank and Karen anytime soon, but let's hear it for the Runkles! What a crazy scenario that was, to see the two of them caught in the clutches of crazy Ophelia. Marcy lost her voice for a few episodes on Californication Season 6, but her tongue was sharp as ever this week with quotes like the one where she told her captor what being a feminist was really about. Charlie doesn't have the bankroll Stu does, but his heart could choke a hippo and it never really ever stopped beating for his little Cokey Smurf.

Becca's leaving definitely did feel like the end of something. Karen appeared ready to pull even further away from Hank, which I think might be best for now. Faith is really starting to cement herself into Hank's life as much as any female character has been able to do so recently. I'm not saying Karen should run off into the arms of Nero or Atticus though. She needs some distance and I think Hank owes it to himself also to see how he feels about Faith without Karen always around.

Ready to for one final roll in the sack with Hank Moody?

Showtime announced via press release today that Season 7 will mark the final run of episodes for Californication, which will return with new installments this April.

Faith and Hank

“With its unique blend of lyricism and excess, Californication has been one of our groundbreaking signature series,” said Showtime President of Entertainment David Nevins.

“We will always be indebted to Tom Kapinos for leading the creative charge on this memorable comedy, and to David Duchovny for making us root for an unapologetic hedonist like Hank Moody. Tom has carefully planned the final chapter of Hank’s journey and has brought it to a beautiful and satisfying conclusion for new and long-time fans alike.”

Look for Hank to join the writing team of a show based on "Santa Monica Cop" on Season 7, while guest stars will include Michael Imperioli, Mary Lynn Rajskub Alonzo Bodden.

Heather Graham will also return as Julia, whose arrival creates a lot of chaos for Hank in his personal life.

DVD/Blu-Ray Hot Releases: Californication, Hill Street Blues Series Set & More Classic TV

There's a great blend of new DVD releases from shows we currently love and some that are long gone but anything but forgotten available this week.

Let's check em out...

Californication on DVD

Californication: Oh, Hank....I'm not sure how much we'd love the main character of the Showtime sitcom if it wasn't David Duchovny playing him. In the 6th season, Hank tries to work on a rock opera with a famous rock star while taking up with his gorgeous muse! Then, Stu (Stephen Tobolowsky) and Charlie (Evan Handler) vie for the affections of Marcy (Pamela Adlon).

And then there's Becca (Madeleine Martin) who drops out of college to become a writer. Think Hank should be her inspiration? Probably not...the sixth season is out now so pick it up for those nights you need a laugh.

The Gabby Douglas Story/Flowers In The Attic: These two LIfetime movie projects couldn't be any different but could be a good compliment for a two-night viewing experience.

I suggest starting out with the bio pic of Gabby Douglas (played by Sydney Mikayla for the younger years and Imani Hakim for the teen years) and see how she overcame obstacles to win two Gold Medals. And, yes, the real Gabby Douglas films the gymnastic scenes. Who better, right?

Then, let's go a tad darker for the second night with the thrilling adaptation of VC Andrews book Flowers In The Attic. I know I loved the story when I was a teen but Ellen Burstyn does such a great job inhabiting the role of a Grandmother who takes a litlte bit too much control over her daughter (Heather Graham) and her kids.

With Kiernan Shipka from Mad Men in the cast, this is a scary drama that will live on because the sequel is coming next.

Hill Street Blues Complete Series

Hill Street Blues: I took a class in college called MTM Productions, which studied the production house of, you guessed it, Mary Tyler Moore. Besides the sitcoms of the 1970s, MTM also dove into drama with shows like Lou Grant and St. Elsewhere.

But Hill Street Blues broke the mold and changed how cop shows were produced. The show, created by Steven Bochco, had the same grit as other cop shows but also dove into the characters in a unique way that is more the norm now than ever before. Critics loved the show (it earned 28 Emmys during its run) and includes a much-beloved cast including Daniel J Travanti, Mike Warren, Veronica Hamel, Bruce Weitz, Betty Thomas and more.

The entire series is available from The Shout Factory so get yours today and relive a piece of groundbreaking television. And, as Sgt. Esterhaus (Michael Conrad) said in just about every episode, "Let's be careful out there."

Dynasty: Season 8: So much of today's soaps owe plenty to those great prime time soaps of yesteryear. The wealth, the outfits and, of course, all the soapy manipulations, scheming, bed-hopping and revenge. Dynasty was late in its run by this time but it still knew what it was doing and continued to stir up the drama with John Forsythe, Linda Evans, Joan Collins, Heather Locklear and more.

While i never quite warmed up to Emma Samms as Fallon (Pamela Sue Martin should've stuck around!), I still loved the show so it was exciting to see both Volumes 1 and 2 come out at the same time today. Dive into Dynasty: Season 8.

Dick Van Dyke: The Mary Tyler Moore Episodes: If you ever watched old reruns of The Dick Van Dyke Show and wondered 'Where would Rob Petrie be without his wife, Laura?' then this collection is for you.

20 classic episodes that show just how vital Mary Tyler Moore was to the series are here including "Never Bathe On Saturday" (when Laura gets her toe stuck in a bathtub faucet), "My Blonde Haired Brunette (Laura dyes her hair blonde) and many, many more.

The DVD also includes commentary for select episodes by creator Carl Reiner and star Dick Van Dyke, classic commercials and an 'Oh, Rob" featurette. A must have for anyone who loves classic television.

23 Bad Boys of Television (Who Are Really Oh So Good!)

In Taylor Swift's new single, "Blank Space," the singer boasts that she "can make the bad guys good for a weekend."

Sounds like a solid idea, but also an unnecessary one: Who doesn't love a good ol' bad boy sometimes?!?

Whether you love to hate them, or hate to love them, bad boys bring so much flavor to the stories we see on television.

Maybe it's a brooding vampire. Maybe it a blood sucker with daddy issues. Or do you fancy a football player who shows up drunk to practice, but would do anything for his family or the girl he loves?

The business of women loving bad boys started long before this television season. There were some major trouble-making heartthrobs gracing the small screen in the late 1980s and early 1990s. And guess what? We've got a bunch of them right here!

Click around to ogle 23 of our favorite drool-inducing, troublesome bad boys and let us know who we may have missed.

This list is guaranteed to provide extra dirty thoughts for which to be forgiven next year!

In case you're wondering, we used a precise methodology to count down these super-jews.

A pretty face and a banging body are equally delicious, but scoring a spot on this epic lineup requires true talent. Bonus points for a spectacular sense of humor and strong influence on popular culture. Amen!

47. Max Greenfield

Max greenfield
As the breakout star of “New Girl," Max played Schmidt, one of three guys who share a Los Angeles loft with Jess (Zooey Deschanel). Greenfield falls hard for Jessica's BFF, the way-out-of his league fashion model, CeCe and their on again off again romance kept our attention for all seven seasons. Spoiler alert: by the end of the series, Greenfield not only gets the girl -- he puts a ring on it -- and later puts a baby in her too.

46. Noah Wyle

Noah wyle
We haven’t stopped crushing on Wyle since he played Dr. John Carter on the TV medical TV drama, "ER.” As far as this list goes, the doctor is IN!

45. Paul Rudd

Paul rudd
Our hearts beat a bit faster when Paul Rudd made an honest woman out of Phoebe Buffay as Mike Hannigan on "Friends." Rudd recently starred in "Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later,” on Netflix and made it official: No matter how many years go by, Paul still gets us hot (and wet)!

44. Bryan Greenberg

Bryan greenberg
Bryan’s swagger on HBO’s “How to Make It in America,” as Ben Epstein, an enterprising twenty-something hustling his way through New NYC's fashion scene, made us Greenberg's fans forever.

43. Mark Feuerstein

Mark feuerstein
Mark got his big break on the daytime soap, “Loving," played a lawyer on "The West Wing," and an eligible Jewish doctor who was perfect husband material. Though we favored Feuerstein on “Sex and the City,” as a vulnerable romantic who means well, but just can’t find Miranda's cherry.

42. Justin Kirk

Justin kirk
Justin appears on the Jim Carey series," Kidding," but is best known for his role on HBO’s “Weeds.” As Andy Botwin, Kirk played part-stoner, part -family man who's 100% into his sister-in-law, Nancy (Mary Louise Parker), while helping her sell marijuana. At the end of the series, Andy rejects MLP’s plea to be a permanent fixture in her life -- allowing Kirk to go out on a real high.
